Pinhole Detectors Field Upgrade

Field upgrades are a great, low-cost alternative to purchasing a new Pinhole Detector.
Typical Pinhole Detector Integration Chamber (I/C) field upgrade

  • Replacement of all six (6) front panel calibration and control circuits
  • Installation of six (6) new generation F05-0120 high power assemblies
  • Installation of a new high-efficiency, low noise, regulated power transformer
  • Reassembly and operational testing of all newly installed components
  • A complete field service is performed with additional parts replaced as needed
  • Re-calibration of the Integration Chamber and full certification of the Pinhole Detector

This Upgrade can be done by your electrical staff with the help of an instructional CD and drawings. This service can also be performed by a SEMS Service Technician if requested. If completed by SEMS, the Technician will also inspect all other Pinhole Detector system components and will recommend replacement or repair of those items not meeting original factory specifications.

The total time required to perform the upgrade can vary based on the detector’s overall condition and any other requirement discovered after disassembly.

The average recorded downtime for upgrading the Pinhole Detector at your facility is approximately 12-14 hours per Detector.Performing a field upgrade provides a low cost solution to extend the useful life of older SEMS and GE pinhole detectors.

The result of this investment is a Detector with increased sensitivity to material flaws.

SEMS, Inc. also offers Integration Chamber rentals that virtually eliminate any production downtime during the field upgrade.
